This last week, we took our teens to camp (hence why Sun, July 21-Thurs, July 25 are under Fri, July 26's date header on the blog). On Tuesday night, over half the teens we took accepted Christ as their Savior. I personally had the opportunity to lead three of them to Christ and encourage two others in their understanding of salvation and what to do as a new believer. Salvation has nothing to do with us, but it has everything to do with God (Eph. 2:8-9). In addition, salvation is eternal. Jesus has a grip on us and God the Father has a grip on His hand. No one can take us out of those hands--we cannot even crawl out ourselves (Jn. 10:28-29). It was amazing to see God's power this week and what He will continue to do in our youth group.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9.
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (29) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." -John 10:28-29.Want to learn more about salvation? Click here to find out more.
