This is a verse my Pastor quotes often, especially when teaching our secondary students. The thing is, this verse is needed by everyone. Those who cannot control themselves leave themselves wide open to Satan's attack through temptation (not to mention the natural temptation we face because we are naturally sinful beings). Through God's help every Christian can have control over his spirit, and then we can begin rebuilding our defenses against the attacks of our enemy through Bible reading and prayer. Are you a fortified city, or merely a set of ruins?
