Your Sin Affects Others

"Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity." -Joshua 22:20, KJV.

All too often, we will sin, and think to ourselves that no one else will get hurt. This is not true. When we sin, it separates us from God and keep us from being used by Him if nothing else. This alone could be crippling to someone else's life. In families, spouses and children get hurt (as in the case here with Achan--his whole family was stoned and burned). In the workplace, relationships with coworkers get strained and testimonies ruined. None of us are islands to ourselves. We are all interconnected, and our decisions do affect those around us.
