"And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?" -Genesis 41:38, KJV
Joseph's connection to the Lord was made so obvious to those around him throughout his life. Even though he was sold into slavery, put into prison for something he didn't do, and forgotten by one who promised to bring him up before Pharaoh, he never got bitter or angry toward God. God was always his first priority. This required having a strong relationship with God beforehand, and always remaining in the Spirit of Christ. God had His hand on Joseph, and He worked mightily through him, so much so that even the leader of a polytheistic society (in which he was considered a god), recognized the true God's hand. Can people see God in us? Are we letting the Spirit of God be in us? Or, are we "quenching the Spirit," and making Him grieve with all the things we do?
