"Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." -Proverbs 27:1, KJV
With the end of the world scare, I wrote an article entitled, "Why the World Won't End This Friday." However, I think it is easy for all of us to miss the fact that we are
not personally guaranteed tomorrow. The Bible is very clear in several places that we cannot put any stock in knowing what will happen to us in any 24-hour timespan. While the Bible guarantees the earth will last a minimum of 1007 years, we do not know if we will even wake up tomorrow. So make today count--you only get it once.
"Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." -James 4:13-15, KJV
