Everyone in this group knew exactly was Jesus was referring to. The cross was a place of shame--reserved for the worst offenders. As Christians, we need to be prepared to lay down everything, including our lives, for the cause of Christ. Yet, how many of us do not even witness simply because we're afraid of what the other person might think. If we're afraid of thoughts, what will we do when we start facing jail? We need to become bold Christians for the cause of Christ.
