"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." -Proverbs 4:23, KJV.

Keeping ourselves pure from the wickedness in this world takes a tremendous amount of effort. But, if we let our guard down and allow our hearts to be corrupted, then we will fail at determining the true issues of life and their answers. We must be careful to allow ourselves to be transformed by the renewing of our minds through Scripture and not be conformed to this world (Rom. 12:1-2).
