"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." (2 John 9-11, #KJV)

We need to be careful not to simply accept anyone claiming to be a "man of God." While John makes very clear that we are to support true men of God, there are many deceivers. We are expected to look at them and compare their stands to the Bible. If they disagree, then they are not of God and they should not be welcomed by us. God expects us to use discernment when deciding who to follow and support.
