"The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook." -Proverbs 18:4, KJV.
I had to opportunity to go to a men's prayer meeting at our church this morning, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship we had. We gave testimonies and discussed issues in the Scriptures before and after prayer. Some of the quietest people may have some of the best wisdom, but need to have it drawn out of them. The desert often does have water, but one must dig down to and pull up the water deep below the surface. I hope you have a church home, and if you don't, you just don't know what you're missing. Many times, the best practical wisdom comes from godly people that you might not otherwise get to talk to. God gave us the ability to tap into this wisdom, so why don't you? Once you get the gates open, you won't have much trouble getting more. Just as once you dig a well, all you have to do is go back for more water, once you open the door of communication with someone, all you have to do is walk up and talk with them again for more wisdom. (Make sure you're getting wisdom from a godly source, however. Always check what they say against the Bible. If they disagree with it, they are wrong.)
