"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." -Proverbs 14:34, KJV.

America was founded on righteousness, which is why it became so great. We became great and powerful by trusting in the Almighty God to get us there. Now, however, we have (as a nation) abandoned God, shoving Him out of our lives, schools, etc., and we wonder why He isn't helping us. We won't let Him! The sin Americans live in daily is a reproach to us, and we have started to see the effects. Chinese is rapidly becoming the second language of choice for business (beginning to replace English); the American dollar is dropping; and we are starting to see a war on our own soil (terrorism). God has not abandoned us--we have abandoned Him. Since this is the situation, all we have to do is turn back to Him.
