"And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him." -Mark 12:17, KJV.

While taxes may not be fun, we as Christians are to pay them. Jesus Himself told us that the things that we owe to the government need to be paid to them, and the things which we owe to God (tithe) need to be paid to Him. We are expected to keep up with both taxes and tithe. If we let either of these slide, then we are sinning. God wants us to respect the authorities He has placed over us.
