"Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." -Psalm 2:11, KJVSo many times, the wrath of God is left out of our in pulpits. However, the Bible is very clear that we are to fear the LORD. This does not mean that we should be shaking in our boots all the time, but it does mean that we should have respect for the One Who can crush us by just thinking it. The fear of God is a reverential fear, yes, but it is also a literal fear. God wants us to serve Him and rejoice with Him, but not forget that He is still our King and Lord (lit. boss). God hates sin and will punish it--He has to, He is a holy God.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. -1 Corinthians 3:11
