Keeping company from the wrong group of people often leads us to do stupid things. Most of these, we would acknowledge are stupid and would never have done if we hadn't been with them. The Bible here gives a clear warning to stay away from it, avoiding it at all possible cost--even if it means going "the long way around." We need to be willing to do anything to keep ourselves from falling into the temptation that often befalls us by hanging out with the wrong crowd.
