"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." -Proverbs 29:25, KJVWhen we worry about what others think about us, we set traps for ourselves. We cause most of our problems this way--worrying about what our coworkers, boss, friends, and neighbors might think. However, we are not supposed to focus on what these think, but we are to trust God. If we keep God first, He will bless our other relationships, and they will be easier to maintain anyway. If a closer relationship with God draws you away from some people, then perhaps you shouldn't be around them. Follow God, for only He is Truth.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. -1 Corinthians 3:11
